On Friday 22nd May I am tutoring a tasting in tribute to the late, great wine educator, Richard Bost. The event is for the Hextable Wine Society - Richard was the programme secretary. Richard was one of the finest wine educators I had the pleasure to know. Always keen to promote wines from emerging regions, he was passionate, knowledgeable and dynamic. This tasting will show wines from some of his favourite estates and regions, including the Iconic Estate, Romania, whose chief winemaker Lorena Deaconu is that rare icon who can make inexpensive wines great, and great wines at affordable prices.
This will be a moving but enjoyable evening in tribute to a wonderful wine educator and friend.
